Maker Mixer/Summit: The organizers of the Champlain Maker Faire invite you to a Maker Mixer/Summit the afternoon of Monday August 31st at Meach Cove Farms, Bostwick Farm Rd., Shelburne (at All Souls Interfaith Gathering). FIRST Robotics President Don Bossi will be keynote and we will have a special showing of the film "Most Likely To Succeed" as well as hear the latest on the faire and what is happening within the maker community.

The Champlain Maker Faire will be September 26 & 27 at Shelburne Farms.  As well, with the FIRST robotics season is about to begin, the Vermont Principals Association has declared both FIRST Technical Challenge and FIRST Lego League a VPA Sanctioned Activity.

Be part of the show:  If you or your company has a cool item, gadget, or project and have not yet applied to exhibit at this year’s Champlain Maker Faire September 26 & 27 at Shelburne Farms Coach Barn, fill out this form:  https://cmfinc.wufoo.com/forms/2015-champlain-mmf-maker-application/ .  If you want to present or have a Maker-Tainer act, fill out this form:  https://cmfinc.wufoo.com/forms/champlain-mmf-presenter-application/ Makers exhibit for free in a 10x10 covered space with 8 foot table, 2 chairs, power and wifi.  You decorate the rest.  We have more than 35 applications to date.

INVITATION III
Come pitch to the FreshTracks Capital Road Pitch "business biker" group of experienced entrepreneurs, investors and advisors on Sunday September 27th at the Champlain Maker Faire.  Make your best 3 minute pitch describing your invention and the problem it solves and get some immediate feedback.  The riders will choose a "riders choice" winner from the group who will receive $500 and a Vermont Teddy Bear Biker Bear.  To apply to pitch, go to:  https://cmfinc.wufoo.com/forms/fresh-tracks-road-pitch-champlain-maker-faire/

INVITATION IV
If you have a new product idea you want to develop…this might be the break you have been looking for.  This year, Champlain Maker Faire is thrilled to offer three $5000 vouchers ($15,000 total) to makers and maker teams to design, develop, prototype and test a new product.  The program is called the CMF Adopt a Maker Program.  It allows makers to purchase tools, materials, mentor services, and other approved activities that will allow your idea to be realized.  To apply for presenting at the Champlain Maker Faire Pitch Session, go here:  https://cmfinc.wufoo.com/forms/adopt-a-maker-maker-team/

CMF Maker of the Year!  CMF will offer attendees the chance to vote on which makers have the most creative, innovative, and coolest project.  Attendees will be given 5 voting tickets to present to makers.  The maker with the most tickets by Sunday September 27 at 2:30 pm will be named “CMF Maker of the Year”.
