DETAILS

The High Meadows Fund and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility are developing a small cohort of young people (1-5 years into your career) in Vermont. This cohort will:

Gather quarterly in 2016 to get to know each other and share a meal together.

Learn from and get to know Vermont thought leaders.

Learn about tools for change, innovations and initiatives to support our work.

Stretch our thinking about how we each want to make a difference in the world.

Gatherings will be centered around conversation and dinner with business leaders and social entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact on their communities. What are the innovative approaches these leaders have taken as they try to solve the problems they care about, both in their own careers and in their approach to making change? What motivates them? What motivates us? How can we learn from their success as we begin our own journeys?

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE

This cohort is intended for those who are looking to be part of a community of young people who are figuring out how to make our way in the world. Participation is open to anyone who is 1-5 years into their career (all career stages welcome, but no current students, please) and interested in bringing positive change to the world. Gatherings will be located in the greater Burlington area and include a presentation by a Vermont leader followed by a shared meal and conversation. We are looking to develop a small, diverse, and committed cohort. Catering for the April event will feature as many local and organic ingredients as the season allows. All meals will include gluten free and vegan options. We ask that you contribute $25 toward the cost of your meal.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

In order to facilitate meaningful conversations and engaged interactions with our presenters, we are aiming to create a small and diverse cohort representing different perspectives and backgrounds.

Please fill out this form by March 14th

so we can learn more about you and what you will bring to the group.

We will review responses and respond to you by March 18th. Those who will be participating in the cohort will be asked to contribute to the cost of their meal at that time. More information available here.

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to getting to know you!
